Bare with me: this article ends with inspiration with a bonus read.
As I have written in the past I have expressed a desire to move out the area I was residing in. There wasn’t much there and I felt suffocated within the confinement of that area.
The beginning of February we got new owners and those owners decided to kick out everyone and remodel the apartments in order to increase rent prices.
Life Changing Decisions for the Better.
One of the residents, who had been there for twenty-four years was given a twenty-day notice to vacate her apartment so it could be remodeled, and yes, it is legal. Before that, another resident had left due to the change that was happening over time and the lack of notice given before the remodeling of her stairs that caused her to be stuck in her apartment.
It was then that I decided that I wanted to leave on my own terms before my building got hit with vacancy notices from the landlord.
The Best Choice I Made
Moving to our local downtown was one of the best choices I have ever made. My productivity level has gone up and will continue to level up as we settle into our routine. During the mornings, we grab $2 bagels with cream cheese and 99cent green teas and sit at the park before starting our day.
Numerous cafes, parks, and sightseeing places are down here for when a break is needed from work.
There are seats and benches for people watching, ha! Plenty to do after a longs day of work.
On the weekends you can catch people reading at the park or taking pictures for their photography.
Going for Our Goals.
I’ve been wanting to move to New York for awhile now but as most of us know, New York isn’t cheap, and neither is Seattle. So our local downtown area was the best chance for us to experience the city life filled with people walking with purpose and passion. Since our trip to Seattle, we have craved the city hustle.
It took me awhile to know what I wanted in terms of living but now that I know, it is just a matter of time until we get to the real experience we are striving and yearning for.
When you want something and can’t get your mind off it then it is time to make a plan to achieve it and aim for it. Everyone has baggage in some form or another, and some of us have it more than others. However, anything we want is possible if we are willing to put in the grit and adjust during the process.
Enriching Our Surroundings for Inspiration.
It’s been five days since we moved and already we have a felt a chance in our mood and eagerness to start our day and explore before hunkering down for work. It has been hard I must admit because of the unexpecting cost of moving…
Sometimes all we need is a change of our surroundings to get our juices following.
