How to Recover from the Grind and Hustle.
After 8 months of blogging and going all super Saiyan ( Dragon Ball Z reference) the last month, my body and immune system decided enough was enough and recovery became critical. I write this as I lay in bed feeling sick to my stomach, with aches and chills while being annoyed by a stuffy nose. By now you should know that even for me, I’m still thinking of blogging, hence this article being written.
5 tips on recovering after 8 months of blogging.
1: Build your immune system back up, start taking daily vitamins.
2: Get some fresh air and go outside for 10 – 20 mins once you’re able to move.
3: Don’t follow in my footsteps and write an article in bed during recovery – although to be fair I am writing this on my phone in a memo app – laptop is closed and away.
4: Eat healthy as much as possible – stay hydrated and yes comfort food is okay at times – but remember the goal is to help your body recover.
5: Ease yourself back into work once you feel better – don’t go full blown 100% when you still might need a couple of days to confirm that your body is ready.
Getting on a healthier schedule.
Try and get on a healthier schedule while living out the grind. Telling you to not grind defeats all purpose, because let’s face it until we are where we want to be, we will continue to hustle and grind it out until our next possible burn out. The main idea and points behind this article are to minimize the next one or avoid future ones.
I’d rather avoid the downfall of burnouts which causes loss time than ignoring my body, burning out requires a longer recovery time and there is no way around it, while just stepping back for a moment only requires a couple of days rest at best.
8 months of grinding is a feat, but keeping your health is a bigger feat.
